Your FTP
150 W, estimated. Every ride target is a share of it, so a real number makes rides fit you.

I know my FTP

I don't know it: take the FTP test

  • 5 minutes easy, then the target climbs 20 W every minute until you can't hold it. It takes about 10–25 minutes.
  • You set the effort with your gears: the game releases the trainer and sends it nothing.
  • Your FTP comes out as 75% of your best minute. You confirm it before it changes anything.

This ends in a maximal effort. Only ride it if you're fit to, and stop straight away if you feel unwell.

Pair a trainer first: only measured power can set your FTP.
Diagnostics

Guided checks

Button test

For 20 s, press every shifter, brake lever and steering button.

ERG check

Holds a gentle power target for 30 s. Pedal at 80–90 rpm; power should settle on the target.

Grade check

Holds a 2 % grade for 20 s. Pedalling should get a little harder.

Control checks go through the same safety limits as a ride: they start at your recovery target, ramp 20 W every 2 s and release at the end.

Controllers
Six buttons drive every in-ride menu: Up, Down, Left, Right, Confirm, Back. Keyboards and Bluetooth page-turner remotes work without pairing (arrows, Enter, Esc, PageUp/PageDown, Space).

Zwift Ride / Click v2 / Play

Starts with the documented Zwift Ride buttons (pad moves, A Confirm, B Back, Y Menu, Z Pause), not yet checked on every firmware: press each to test it and teach any that are wrong. In the browser's list pick "Zwift Ride", not your trainer. Play firmware 1.x is encrypted and not supported.
